Three deputies are okay after being injured in a shooting in Pittsylvania County, Virginia on Wednesday evening.

Authorities say the deputies were serving warrants when the incident happened.

The suspected shooter was later taken into custody by police.

Three sheriff’s deputies injured in a shooting while serving warrants in southern Virginia on Wednesday were "shaken up" but doing well, officials told the Associated Press.

"All three are well. Of course they’re shaken up. And they’re going through the process now of trying to heal," Pittsylvania County Sheriff Michael W. Taylor said, adding: "They’re OK."
