Kiami Davael 's newest chapter is in bloom.

N early 30 years after Matilda brought magic to the silver screen, the actress , who played the BFF to Mara Wilson 's titular character, is giving fans insight into her life and relationship with the iconic movie with the documentary The Story of Kiami Davae l.

"Within a few short weeks, I will be starting production for my documentary," Kiami revealed in an Aug. 3 Instagram video. "I'm so excited, so blessed, so grateful. This project means a lot to me for a lot of reasons."

The 38-year-old is getting her close-up in the one-hour special that follows her journey from childhood actress to present-day.
