DAPHNE, Ala. ( WALA ) - The Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a family of four was found dead with gunshot wounds at a home in Daphne Thursday morning.

The scene is on Sable Court.

Sheriff Anthony Lowery confirmed two of the victims are children -- an 11-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy. Identities are not being released at this time, he said.

Lowery said investigators believe this to be a case of murder-suicide.

“We do believe this is going to be a multiple murder and suicide scene,” Lowery said. “It’s as tragic as it comes.”

The sheriff said the BCSO notified officials at the two schools where the children attended so that counselors could be available for students.
