PEARL RIVER COUNTY, Miss. (WLOX) - Three people are facing charges after deputies found methamphetamine hidden in a plastic sweet tea jug, according to the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department.

Deputies with the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department conducted a traffic stop on South Main Street in Poplarville on Wednesday, August 6, at 7:20 p.m.

Officials said during the stop, there was probable cause to search the SUV, and a deputy noticed a white plastic bag inside a Milo’s sweet tea jug.

The deputy emptied the tea from the jug and recovered two bags containing methamphetamine, according to authorities.

The three people inside the SUV were arrested.
