BENTONVILLE -- A Rogers woman was given a suspended sentence after admitting to interference with the custody of children in connection with an incident in which she was accused of kidnapping eight kids from foster care and taking them across the country in a pickup in 2023.

Trista Fullerton, 38, pleaded guilty Wednesday to four counts of interference with custody involving a minor taken, enticed or kept outside the state of Arkansas. Prosecutors dismissed four other counts as part of a plea agreement.

Bryce Moore, Fullerton' s attorney, reached the agreement with Seth Segovia, deputy prosecutor.

Fullerton was arrested in October 2023 in the case that made national headlines.
