Summerlin South of Las Vegas has advanced to the second round of the winners' bracket in the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, and will play again on Friday afternoon.
The game will be broadcast on ESPN at 3 p.m. Pacific.
The team represents the Little League baseball's Mountain Region, which includes Nevada as well as Montana, Utah and Wyoming. They won their first game 16-1 over Clarendon Hills, Illinois, representing the Great Lakes Region — the largest margin of victory out of the four games in the opening round.
Summerlin South will need at least three more wins in the double-elimination tournament to advance to the U.S. championship game, and at least four more wins to advance to the Little League World Series championship game.
