FARGO — “East of Wall,” a feature film shot in South Dakota, opens at the Fargo Theatre on Friday, Aug. 15.

Directed by Kate Beecroft, the film follows a woman who runs a ranch where she, her family and a group of runaway teens raise horses and train for rodeos. Facing financial hardships and recovering from the sudden death of her husband, Tabatha’s life is thrown into more turmoil when a wealthy rancher shows up with an offer to buy her property.

The film stars and is based on the lives of Tabatha Zimiga and her daughter Porshia and is largely filmed on their South Dakota ranch. The movie also features actors Scoot McNairy and Jennifer Ehle.

The film premiered earlier this year at the Sundance Film Festival.
