The creator of Hash Kitchen, The Sicilian Butcher and Baker, The Italiano and The Mexicano, Joey Maggiore is a well-known name in town. And this fall, the chef and restaurateur is gearing up to debut his latest concept.

The Delicatessen is set to open on Tatum Boulevard just north of Cactus Road on Sept. 10. It's taking over the former home of fellow Maggiore family restaurant The Rosticceria.

The new concept was inspired by Maggiore's grandfather, a butcher from the Bronx. It was initially announced in February and set to open in the spring. But since then, there have been a few changes to the plan, including a new name.
