TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - The race for Ward 3 in Tucson will go to a recount.

The City of Tucson says it received the Pima County Superior Court order to conduct the recount of the votes cast in the City of Tucson Aug. 5 Democratic Party Primary Election.

The race between Kevin Dahl and Sadie Shaw was separated by 19 votes.

The City Clerk elections team will perform the required Logic and Accuracy test tomorrow morning, August 15, beginning at 9 a.m.

The ballot recount will begin next Wednesday, Aug. 20, and continue through Thursday, Aug 21.

Counting will begin at 9 a.m.

Once the recount is completed, the sealed results will be presented at the Superior Court hearing on Friday, Aug. 22, at 10 a.m.
