A Maine firefighter has been charged with arson after allegedly setting his home on fire in New Hampshire.
Crews responded to a fire at a home on Second Street in Gorham, New Hampshire, on July 29.
No one was hurt, but two pet turtles died in the fire.
Police arrested Travis Davis on Aug. 8 and charged him with arson. He’s accused of setting fire to his own home.
Davis is a deputy chief with the Gilead Volunteer Fire Department in Maine and a firefighter with the Shelburne Fire Department in New Hampshire.
Gilead Fire Chief Randall Grondin said Davis has been placed on administrative leave. He had been with the department for about two years.
