INDIANAPOLIS -- An investigation is underway after a hit-and-run left a person in critical condition on Indy's southwest side on Thursday.
Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded around 11:09 a.m. to the area of Denison Street and W. Troy Avenue in response to a reported personal injury accident.
IMPD said officers arrived on the scene and determined that a vehicle had struck an adult male. The victim was transported to an area hospital and was last reported to be in critical condition.
The driver reportedly fled the area as detectives believe the suspect fled on foot. The incident remains under active investigation.
