CINCINNATI (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Six suspects accused in a violent downtown brawl appeared in court Thursday for their arraignments.

All six face charges of aggravated riot and felonious assault, with possible prison sentences of nearly 30 years if convicted.

One of the suspects, 34-year-old Montainez Merriweather, is also facing new federal charges for illegally possessing a firearm as a convicted felon. Court records show Merriweather was arrested earlier this summer for receiving stolen property involving a firearm.

The cases remain under investigation.
