An Arkansas teacher has pleaded not guilty to fatally stabbing a married couple who were hiking with two of their children at the time of the incident last month.

Andrew McGann, 28, appeared at his arraignment Thursday morning in Fayetteville, Arkansas, where he entered a not-guilty plea to the two capital murder charges he faces. The charges mean he is eligible for the death penalty in the state. The defendant is accused of killing Clinton Brink, 43, and Cristen Brink, 41, on July 26 at Devil’s Den State Park in northwestern Arkansas.
