KALAMAZOO, Mich. — A second man has been charged in the 2021 home invasion and fatal shooting of a Kalamazoo man, according to the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety (KDPS).

28-year-old Julius Curtis Robinson Jr. was charged with homicide, first-degree home invasion, armed robbery and three counts of felony firearm on Tuesday.

In July, 23-year-old Isaiah Jacole Willhite was found guilty on the same counts in connection to the 2021 shooting.

The shooting happened on June 26, 2021, at a home in the 1300 block of N. Rose Street. When police arrived, they found Gerryon Kye suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite life-saving efforts, Kye died at the scene.

KDPS said according to witnesses, two masked individuals forced their way into the home and shot Kye during an armed robbe
