Leon Bailey's time at Aston Villa could be about to end with Roma reportedly in negotiations to sign the winger this summer .

The Jamaican international, who arrived at Villa Park from Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen four years ago, is no longer thought to be central to Unai Emery's plans ahead of the new season, and has been actively exploring his options.

A number of clubs have been circling for the 28-year-old's services, including Besiktas and various teams from Saudi Arabia, but it seems the Serie A team is the most serious contender, according to the Athletic.

The big issue seems to be whether Roma can take him on loan with an option to buy or are forced to do a permanent deal this summer, but news of the potential move has not been greeted with universal approval.
