BELLAIRE — A 76-year-old Rochester, New York, man died Monday after falling from a jet ski into Torch Lake, according to the Antrim County Sheriff’s Office.
According to an Aug. 14 news release from the sheriff’s office, deputies responded to a medical call around Aug. 11 at Bellaire Highway and South East Torch Lake Drive. When they arrived, they saw two people in the water and found the man unresponsive.
He was brought to shore, where deputies and emergency medical personnel administered CPR. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators said the man and a woman were operating separate jet skis on the lake when the man slumped over and fell into the water. Both were wearing life jackets, and the woman was not injured.
