LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - A Lincoln man was sentenced Thursday to over a decade in prison for sexually assaulting two underage girls in 2023.
Mohammed Aburas, 19, was found guilty of intentional child abuse resulting in no injury, attempted first-degree sexual assault and visual depiction of sex/explicit conduct.
Through a plea deal, a possession of child pornography charge was dropped from his case and two first-degree sexual assault charges were lowered.
Aburas will serve 14-19 years in prison with 364 days credit for time served. Upon release he will have to be a registered sex offender for 25 years.
