LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - After a stretch of cooler than average temperatures this week, we are finally set to turn up the heat heading into the weekend.
In fact, both Heat Advisories and Weather Alert Days are in effect Friday and Saturday. Feel like temperatures could near 110 degrees both days.
Actual high temperatures themselves, will climb into the low to upper 90s over the next two days.
The active weather pattern does not stop even though the temperatures continue to rise. Multiple upper level disturbances are forecast to move through tonight through Saturday.
The active pattern does not stop there as rain chances continue into next week. Temperatures meanwhile will eventually drop back into the 90s by the middle to end of next week.
