Caleb Desnoyers, the fourth overall selection from the 2025 NHL Draft, is set to miss 12 weeks after undergoing wrist surgery, Utah Mammoth general manager Bill Armstrong announced Thursday.

Desnoyers, 18, helped lead the Moncton Wildcats to a QMJHL championship last year, piling up 84 points (35 goals, 49 assists) in 56 games. He added nine goals and 21 assists during 19 post-season contests and won the Guy Lafleur Trophy for playoff MVP.

Moncton went on to lose to the eventual champions, the London Knights, in the semifinals at the Memorial Cup.

Desnoyers, of St-Hyacinthe, Que., did not make Canada’s world junior team but starred for the country at the 2024 U18 Hlinka Gretzky Cup with five points in five games.
