A Maine fire chief issued a mea culpa recently after sharing a profanity-laced music video on his department’s official Facebook page, evidently mistaking it for his personal feed.

Norway Fire Chief David Knox took the blame for the July 30 post featuring a music video for the anti-work anthem “F— This Job ” by country music artist Wheeler Walker Jr., according to the Advertiser Democrat , which first reported the incident.

Tagged in the since-deleted post was Knox’s wife, Elizabeth, the longtime town clerk in nearby Paris, the local newspaper reported. Elizabeth Knox recently resigned from her post after Paris residents cut the municipal budget and prompted the town’s Select Board to dial back the clerk’s hours, per the Advertiser Democrat.
