CARVER, Mass. (WLNE) — The Carver Police Department said it was investigating a shooting that took place at Sampson Pond on Aug. 13.
Police said a woman went to the station around 7:30 p.m. and said she had been shot at the pond.
The victim was transported to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg that was believed to be non-life-threatening.
Police said the shooting did not appear to be a random act but that there is no ongoing threat to the public.
