LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - In the wake of Breathitt County 10-year-old Jayden Spicer’s death, loved ones and perfect strangers are coming together to grieve.
Father Jim Sichko said it’s another life gone far too soon.
Father Jim said he wants to ensure Jayden is laid to rest in a meaningful way.
“I immediately knew, sadly, that this wasn’t going to have a positive outcome,” said Father Jim.
The tragic death of Jayden Spicer is one so many feared as police searched tirelessly through abandoned homes, dump sites and wooded areas.
“As a missionary of mercy, one of the acts of mercy, for all of us, is to bury the dead.”
Father Jim said life is just as precious when it’s over as it is in the moment.
