The police investigation into the death of Gogglebox star George Gilbey has been concluded.

In a major update, Essex Police confirmed that two men who were arrested on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter in the wake of the TV personality's death face no further police action.

George, 40, had been “working on a roof when he fell through a plastic skylight" in Shoeburyness, Essex, on March 27 last year.

A previous inquest hearing heard he "landed on the ground below” and died from traumatic injuries to his head and torso.

Essex Police has now issued a statement regarding its investigation.

The force said: “Essex Police have confirmed their investigation into the death of George Gilbey last year has concluded.
