A Jeep driver ended up getting pinned underneath her vehicle Wednesday evening after making an abrupt turn into a townhouse complex and losing control.

At about 6 p.m. Aug. 13, emergency responders were called to the complex in the area of Cushman Road and Welland Avenue .

Police said the grey Jeep was being driven south on Cushman when the driver tried to make a sudden westbound turn. The driver lost control of the Jeep, which had its doors removed, and was thrown from the vehicle. The Jeep ended up crashing into a fence and came to a rest with the driver pinned beneath a tire.

Responders were able to remove the woman from the wreckage, and she was taken to an out-of-region hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The collision remains under investigation.
