Michigan’s roster took a hit this offseason with a ton of high level contributors going to the NFL. But the cupboards are far from bare. With the season just a few weeks away, let’s take a look at how each position group changed over the offseason and see which position groups have improved or regressed the most.

Improved

Despite Michigan’s 2025 quarterback room being largely untested at the Big Ten level, things can only get better as 2024 was about as abysmal as it gets. Bryce Underwood appears to be the leader to get the starting nod, and the depth is also significantly better with Mikey Keene, Jake Garcia, and Jadyn Davis. This is far and away better than the depth from last year with Jack Tuttle, Alex Orji and Jayden Denegal.
