PICKAWAY COUNTY — A driver is facing multiple charges after allegedly traveling the wrong way on U.S. Route 23 and causing a serious crash Tuesday night.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the incident occurred near the PCC Transportation building, just south of North Court Street. Witnesses reported a white sedan traveling Southbound in the wrong lane, narrowly missing one vehicle before colliding with another.

Troopers identified the driver as Bailey Bargdill, 27 , who was found behind the wheel of the wrong-way vehicle. Investigators said they immediately detected the odor of alcohol, and subsequent testing revealed Bargdill’s blood alcohol concentration was more than twice the legal limit, registering above .17 — an enhanced OVI offense.
