VERMILLION COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A woman in Vermillion County has been arrested for allegedly stealing over $100,000 from someone she was once a caretaker for, according to Indiana State Police.

According to a press release, Indiana State Police Sergeant Detective Troy Stanton of the Special Investigation, Organized Crime and Corruption Division, began an investigation on Pamela J. Girton, 59, after receiving information that she had allegedly stolen $110,000 for self-gain from an individual she was once a caretaker for.

Girton has been arrested on charges of theft value of property greater than $50,000.00 (a level 5 felony) and exploitation of an endangered adult (a class A misdemeanor).
