BUTLER COUNTY, Kan. (KSNW) — Road work could mean slow going on U.S. Highway 400 in Butler County between Leon and Beaumont.

Starting Monday, traffic will be guided through the work zone by flaggers and a pilot car, and drivers should be prepared for delays of up to 15 minutes, the Kansas Department of Transportation said.

Crews will remove the top layer of old pavement and replace it with new asphalt, improving the road after earlier culvert repairs, KDOT said.

For current road conditions, visit kandrive.gov or call 511. Construction updates for south-central Kansas are available at ksdot.gov/projects/south-central-kansas-projects.
