NORWICH, CT. (WFSB) - A homeless man was arrested after a stabbing at a store in Norwich early Thursday morning.

Police say that they responded to Sam’s Food Store on Central Avenue on a report of a stabbing in the parking lot.

Officers found two adults who were suffering from puncture wounds. They were transported to the hospital for treatment.

It was determined that the suspect, 32-year-old Wendell Boateng-Moses, had fled the scene prior to police arriving.

Authorities were able to track him down and take him into custody.

He is charged with two counts of 2nd degree breach of peace, two counts of 1st degree assault, carrying a dangerous weapon and failure to submit fingerprints.

An investigation is active.
