HARTFORD, Conn. (WFSB) - The Food and Drug Administration is considering pulling its authorization of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine for healthy children under five, and it could leave many kids unprotected from the virus. Connecticut doctors are concerned, especially after COVID cases surged earlier and lasted longer last season.

While the virus typically causes mild symptoms in most children, those under 5 years old, and children with certain health conditions are at the highest risk of severe illness.
