A popular UK drinking establishment has had its premises licence stripped away following 77 police callouts within a 15-month period. Haringey Council convened a licensing committee session last week where the North Eight pub, Hornsey, previously known as the Hornsey Arms, saw its licence withdrawn.
The committee's ruling was only made public this week, though. A July hearing had been postponed to provide additional time for examining evidence presented by the Metropolitan Police.
