Authorities were investigating a hit-and-run crash in Wildomar that took the life of a motorcyclist.
The deadly crash occurred shortly after 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 13, at Bundy Canyon Road and Harvest Way, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Sgt. Brad Foster said the motorcyclist, whose identity was not immediately released, was traveling through the intersection when his bike and another vehicle collided.
The circumstances weren’t specified.
The victim was hurled into a ravine, and the motorist raced away as witnesses called 911, Foster said. Paramedics arrived but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Alcohol is suspected to be a factor in this collision,” Foster said.
It was unclear how that determination was made.
