WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) - Wondering what sorts of resources are out there for older folks?
On Thursday, the Jefferson County Office for the Aging answered that question with its Senior Health Expo.
It was the A to Z in help for senior citizens. The event saw roughly 50 community organizations setting up shop at Jefferson Community College.
According to organizers, the expo’s goal is to put older adults in touch with organizations and resources they may have otherwise never heard of. Some of those organizations include United helpers, Seniors Helping Seniors, PIVOT, and the new Watertown Senior Center.
“I think that knowing what’s available and what’s current has given people options on how they can utilize services,” said Bethany Munn, Jefferson County Office for the Aging director.
