CLEVELAND (WJW) – The FOX 8 I-Team just uncovered more about what is happening with the murder suspect in Aliza Sherman's death.

Attorneys for Gregory Moore are trying to prove he is not the person responsible for Sherman’s murder. Attorney Jon Paul Rion, who represents Moore, told the I-Team about evidence at the crime scene.

Sherman was stabbed to death downtown back in 2013. Moore was just indicted in May.

"There is no DNA on the crime scene that links Mr. Moore to anything,” Rion said. “Nothing. So, he is excluded as anyone that's provided any DNA. There is DNA that comes back to a third party."

Rion filed a motion Wednesday asking for new DNA testing that might reveal the identity of the attacker.
