Paramount Pictures has delayed the release of “ The Running Man ” by one week to Nov. 14. It was previously scheduled for Nov. 7.

Glen Powell stars in Edgar Wright’s remake as the lead of the sci-fi action film. Based on the 1982 novel by Stephen King, “The Running Man” takes place in a dystopian society where contestants on a game show, called “runners,” are pit against murderous killers or “hunters.”

The film’s official synopsis reads that the Runners “must survive 30 days while being hunted by professional assassins, with every move broadcast to a bloodthirsty public and each day bringing a greater cash reward.
