APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) - Franklin Elementary and Trim Hunger celebrated the newest piece of their partnership on Thursday, unveiling a new addition to the neighborhood designed to combat hunger.
A community pantry available to all is now outside the school, as officials hope to encourage giving and provide others with access to food and other essentials.
In a release on Wednesday, announcing the installation, Principal Denise Tetzlaff said it was an honor to partner with Trim Hunger, allowing people to help their community.
The shared shelf space allows residents to drop off food and help those in need across their community.
