CHICAGO (WLS) -- CTA Green Line train service was disrupted Thursday evening on the South Side after a semi hit a viaduct and damaged power cables, officials said.
The Green Line was not operating between Garfield and Cottage Grove, a CTA spokesperson said.

Train traffic was stopped on that section of track due to the power issue.
A semi hit a viaduct and that caused damage to cables that supply power to that section of track.
Shuttle buses are running along that part of the line while crews worked to get things back up and running.
