Fort Smith Public Library holds bottled-water drive for clients of Next Step Homeless Services

FORT SMITH -- As temperatures soar, the Fort Smith Public Library is holding a bottled-water drive to keep the city's unhoused population hydrated.

Next Step Homeless Services, the nonprofit benefiting from the drive, in a Facebook post expressed its gratitude toward the library and encouraged people to drop off bottled water at one of the library's locations.

Next Step hands out bottles of water to people experiencing homelessness in Fort Smith. The drive will continue until Aug. 31. Donations of bottled water can be made at any of Fort Smith's library locations.
