Above the produce section in New Orleans' newest Trader Joe's store , attentive shoppers may notice a small tribute to a legendary furry fugitive contained in a playful mural.

Scrim — the scruffy white terrier famously on the run in Mid-City for months — appears on the wall, decked out in prison stripes and standing beside a dark chocolate peanut butter cup-themed float, one of Trader Joe's most beloved treats.

His cameo is just one of several fun nods to New Orleans painted throughout the grocery chain's first Crescent City shop. Festive shotgun houses, decorated Mardi Gras floats and green, yellow and purple beads fit with pendants of Trader Joe's signature snacks also line the walls.
