Maine fans hoping to watch Cooper Flagg play basketball in person may have to wait until March 6, 2026, when the Dallas Mavericks travel to Boston to face off against the Celtics.

The Newport, Maine, native played for one year at Duke University before making history in June as the first Maine player to be selected first in the NBA draft , going to the Mavericks.

Flagg has been spending time at home in Maine this summer , training and hosting a youth basketball camp earlier this month at the University of Maine with his twin brother and UMaine freshman Ace Flagg.

The Mavericks start their season Oct. 6 at home against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
