During University of Tulsa athletic director Justin Moore’s Polo Grill lunch with media members, most of the exchanges were off-the-record conversations.
One Thursday topic did result in an on-the-record exchange regarding Golden Hurricane men’s basketball.
What, Moore was asked, can be done to have former TU fans — the ones who checked out years ago — decide that they once again give a damn about the Golden Hurricane program?
“You have to give your coach resources that match the expectations,” Moore replied.
When Tre Lamb was introduced as TU’s new football coach in December, he announced that the university had developed a plan for revenue sharing with athletes.
