EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) -- A ribbon cutting ceremony was held at the Ascension St. Vincent Women and Children's Hospital to celebrate the completion of the new "mother, baby and labor and delivery renovation.”

The $16,800,000 project has been in development over the last five years and is aimed to enhance mother and baby safety as well as improve the patient and visitor experience.

The project also made renovations to the hospital's postpartum and mother baby wings as well as delivery rooms, and the mother baby nurse station.
