LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - Former Candidate for Attorney General Matt DePerno has filed to run again, campaign documents confirm.
The Republican, unsuccessfully, attempted to unseat Democratic Attorney General Dana Nessel during the 2022 midterms.
DePerno was one of two allies of President Donald Trump charged with attempting to illegally access and tamper with voting machines after the 2020 election.

DePerno also ran for Michigan Supreme Court in 2024, but dropped out a few months later, saying his skills as an attorney would best suit the Republican party “outside the ticket.”
