A Pulaski County jury found Jennifer Lewis guilty Wednesday of four counts of child molestation in the first degree and one count of statutory rape in the first degree, according to a news release from the Phelps County Prosecutor's Office.

Lewis had sexual contact with her biological child, starting at age 8 from February 2012 to February 2016.

The victim testified and faced their abuser in court during trial. After years of therapy, the victim came forward about the abuse they experienced, according to the news release.

At sentencing, the jury returned with recommendations for the maximum punishment under the law for each count: 15 years for each of counts one through four and life imprisonment on count five.

The final sentencing is set for 1 p.m. Sept. 23.
