The Milan Cortina Winter Olympics will feature a record number of athletes, with around 2,900 participants from over 90 countries, and American Sylvia Hoffman stands out for her diverse sports background.

"Former basketball player, former weightlifter, current bobsledder and future wrestler," Sylvia Hoffman said.

Hoffman's journey began with basketball, which she excelled at during her college years at LSU-Shreveport. When a professional career in basketball didn't materialize, she transitioned to weightlifting, finishing fourth at the 2016 National Championships. She was then approached about bobsledding.

"I've come a long way; I have switched a lot of sports," Hoffman said.
