MUSCATINE, Iowa (KWQC) - Over 10 dogs were seized from a home in Muscatine. No charges have been filed at this time, but the investigation remains ongoing.
Wednesday around 1:30 p.m., officers with the Muscatine Police Department and Muscatine Animal Control served a search warrant at a home at 2127 Hershey Avenue, seizing 12 dogs from the home, according to a media release from city officials. Timothy Mcloughlin and Brandy Casteel were identified as the owners of the dogs.
The warrant originated from a complaint of animal abuse on Aug. 9, resulting in the execution of a search warrant for the Rescue of Threatened Animals, Iowa Code 717.B.5.
Upon completion, officials said they found 12 dogs inside the home which were removed by the Muscatine Police Department, Muscatine Animal Control,
