DUBUQUE COUNTY, Iowa (KCRG) - Swiss Valley Park and Campground is reopening to the public after being damaged by record rainfall .
Swiss Valley Park and Campground is now open to the public after a temporarily closure due to flash flooding from record rainfall on Sunday, according to the Dubuque County Conservation.
The rising waters caused flash flooding at the park and the nearby Swiss Valley Preserve and Nature Center. It damaged bridges, flattened prairies, and toppled trees.
According to a Facebook post by the Dubuque County Conservation, the Swiss Valley Preserve is still closed. An update will be provided on the reopening.
