CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - One person was injured in a crash in Cedar Rapids on Thursday.

The Cedar Rapids Police Department responded to a crash on Wright Brothers Boulevard and 18th Street SW on Thursday.

The driver of the SUV was extracted from the vehicle and taken by helicopter to the hospital. A passenger in that car reported no ‘significant injuries.’

The driver of the semi was not injured.

18th Street southbound is closed at 76th Avenue SW. Wright Brothers Boulevard westbound is closed at 6th Street SW.

The accident is under investigation. No other information is known at this time.
