A crash west of Seligman at milepost 99, near Cross Mountain Road, led to a full closure of the westbound lanes that lasted about seven hours on Thursday. The closure led to bumper to bumper traffic on Historic Route 66 that stretched for miles of Kingman.

Bart Graves, with ADOT, said the crash occurred at about 6:44 a.m. involving a commercial truck and a passenger vehicle. One person was killed and several more were injured.
