PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (WCAX) - The fingerpointing between New York Congresswoman Elise Stefanik and Clinton County GOP officials continued Thursday over the candidate selection process for an open Assembly seat.

Stefanik on Thursday said her concerns over how local Republican operatives select the GOP candidate for the soon-to-be-open 115th Assembly seat had been addressed.

It comes two days after lashing out at Clinton County Republican Chair Jerika Manning, calling her incompetent, selfish, and inexperienced.

In a post on Facebook, Stefanik on Thursday said that all candidates -- including her preferred choice of Malone Mayor Andrea Dumas -- would be considered without interference from Manning.
